Waco Lake has 2 day use Group Shelters. These shelters are used for company parties, family reunions, class reunions, bass tournaments and other various group gatherings.

Reservations for the use of the Group Shelters may be made 360 days in advance of arrival by calling the Recreation.gov Reservation Service at 1-877-444-6777 or through their web site at www.recreation.gov .

Twin Bridges Park Group Shelter

Located within Twin Bridges Park

This facility is for day-use only. No overnight camping is allowed at the shelter. This is an open type shelter with 5,250 square feet. This shelter comes with a large, outside cooking grill, electrical outlets, water faucets, horse shoe pits, and a sand volleyball court. Within walking distance of the group shelter are restrooms with showers, white sand swimming beach, and a covered play ground. The Group Shelter rental fee is $100.00 per day. The rental period is from 6:00am to 8:30pm each day. The maximum occupancy for this shelter is 225 people and parking to accommodate 97 vehicles. The shelter is open year-round but only reservable March through October.

Airport Beach Group Shelter

Located within Airport Beach Park

This facility is located within Airport Beach Park.The Shelter rental fee is $100.00 per day from 6:00am to 8:30pm. This is an open shelter which is designed to accommodate 110 guests. The facility includes 2 barbeque grills, electric, water, and 47 parking spots. Located within a short walking distance are restrooms, a boat ramp with a courtesy dock, a play ground, and a sand swimming beach. The shelter is open and reservable April through September.

Airport Park Group Shelter

Airport Park Group Camping Shelter is located within Airport Park. The shelter's nightly fee, from 3:00pm-2:00pm is $150.00. This is an open shelter that includes water/electricity, 6 foot barbeque grill, 12 foot serving bar, 6 campsites with electric/water/sewage, and 2 with electric/water only. The shelter is designed to accommodate around 80 guests and provide parking for 35 vehicles. Behind the shelter are horseshoe pits and a bank perfect for fishing. This shelter is open and reservable year-round.
