Swimming at Wright Patman Lake
Swimming is permitted at one’s own risk. Swimming is not permitted at boat launch sites, dock areas, or other areas designated for no swimming. Swimmers are encouraged to swim at designated swim beach areas. The public beach at Wright Patman Lake is located at North Shore Park and there is a cost of $5 per vehicle per day. Other beaches are located at Rocky Point and Clear Springs Parks, and can be used by registered campers or their visitors. The Corps of Engineers staff at Wright Patman Lake has installed Life Jacket Loaner Stations at all 3 swim beach areas. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE VISITORS TO PLEASE PLACE YOUR BORROWED LIFE JACKET(S) ON THE LOANER STATION UPON YOUR DEPARTURE SO SOMEONE ELSE MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO SAVE A LIFE OR THEIR OWN.
