Discount Passes

America the Beautiful Senior / Access Pass

The Corps of Engineers will continue to accept the Golden Age and Golden Access passports for valid discounts for camping and other associated fees. The America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes are also valid for discounts for camping and other associated fees. No other documentation will be accepted as proof of age or disability for the purpose of receiving discounts at Corps of Engineers parks. Changes to the issuance of the America the Beautiful were set in place as of January 5, 2016, please see the changes below.

America the Beautiful Interagency Senior Pass

Sold only at Rocky Point gatehouse on Wright Patman Lake for a fee of $80 and is a lifetime pass. There is also an America the Beautiful Annual Pass which is also available at Rocky Point gatehouse for a fee of $20 . If obtained via mail order through the USGS store there will be a fee of $20 . The Interagency Senior Pass is valid for entrance fees and standard amenity recreation day use fees for all federal recreational lands and waters. The pass is valid for lifetime for the holder of the pass, and cannot be used by anyone other than the individual the pass is issued to. Holders of this pass will also receive a 50% discount on fees at US Army Corps of Engineers operated campgrounds.

America the Beautiful Interagency Access Pass

Available at the Wright Patman Lake Project Office. There is no fee for this pass if obtained in person. If obtained via mail order through the USGS store there will be a fee of $10 . Proof in writing of the individuals disability must be presented on the date of pick up. The Interagency Access Pass is valid for entrance fees and standard amenity recreation day use fees for all federal recreational lands and waters. The pass is valid for lifetime for the holder of the pass, and cannot be used by anyone other than the individual the pass is issued to. Holders of this pass will also receive a 50% discount on fees at US Army Corps of Engineers operated campgrounds.

As of January 1, 2007 the Corps of Engineers no longer issued any Golden Age or Golden Access passports. Existing passports may still be used until they are lost, defaced or stolen. Individuals wanting replacements must obtain the America the Beautiful passes listed above.

Annual Day Use Passes

Corps of Engineers Annual Pass

Entitles holders to the use of any US Army Corps of Engineers operated boat launch ramps, swim beach areas, and other day use facilities at any project for a year from the month of purchase. The cost is $40.00 per pass .  The Annual Pass admits the holder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle. The Annual Pass does not cover or reduce special recreation permit fees, fees charged by concessionaires or fees charged for campground use. Annual passes may be purchased only at Rocky Point gatehouse. The Corps of Engineers Annual Pass may not be used at areas operated by other agencies even if those areas area located on Corps owned property. This pass is strictly for day use areas operated by the Corps of the Engineers only. Currently, North Shore Park is the only day-use facility at Wright Patman Lake that charges day-use fees.

America the Beautiful Interagency Annual Pass

The Interagency Annual Pass is not valid for campground fees or discounts at campground facilities. This pass is strictly for day use areas operated by the federal agencies (BLM, USBR, FWS, USFS, NPS, and USACE).

America the Beautiful Interagency Annual Military Pass

Available for pick up at the Wright Patman Lake Project Office. There is no fee for this pass. The Interagency Annual Military Pass is for active military personnel and their dependents, as well as veterans. The Interagency Annual Military Pass is valid for entrance fees and standard amenity recreation day use fee for all federal recreational lands and waters. This pass is not available to civilians. The pass is valid for one year from the month of issuance. This pass is strictly for day use areas operated by the federal agencies (BLM, USBR, FWS, USFS, NPS, and USACE).

America the Beautiful Interagency Every Kid in a Park 4th Grade Pass

Can be accessed through the Every Kid in a Park website either in a classroom setting or online at home. 4th grade students must complete the online packet with educational lessons to obtain their pass. Once completed teachers and/or parents can print off the American the Beautiful Interagency Every Kid in a Park 4th Grade Pass paper voucher. The paper vouchers can be utilized for entrance fees and standard amenity receation day use fees for all federal recreational lands and waters. The paper voucher can be turned in at the Wright Patman Lake Project Office in exchange for an America the Beautiful Interagency Every Kid in a Park 4th Grade Pass (card). The card or paper voucher will be issued to the 4th grade student. The student must be present with the pass at time of entry to the recreation area. The pass is valid for day use areas only. Adults are not allowed to possess or utilize these passes. Passes are valid September through August of the that the student is in the 4th grade.
