Wright Patman Lake has 17 boat ramps available for boaters to use while enjoying the lake. Available are 8 day use ramp facilities, 3 ramps available for campers and 6 lease areas with ramps. At Wright Patman visitors can enjoy boating activities such as general boating, fishing, skiing and knee boarding, and personal watercraft use. Remember, life jackets save lives. Always have a life jacket available and ready for all riders while enjoying the lake . Attention all boaters the summer season is upon us, remember to be safe at all times while on the lake and try to prevent heat stroke or heat exhaustion. Be sure that you have enough life jackets for all persons aboard, and that they are a proper fit as well. Check the operation of your boat before launching, make sure that you have plenty of fuel and oil. Check your engine for starting operations, check your steering (make sure that your motor and prop move in the direction that you are steering). Check your horn, check your navigation lights, check your battery for a full charge. Let someone know where you are going in case of accident; leave a plan with a relative or friend. Be sure that you have all safety equipment; fire extinguisher, throw ring or throw pillow, air horn, kill switch, a paddle, and most importantly life jackets. Enjoy your time at Lake Wright Patman but please do so safely.

ATTENTION ALL ANGLERS VISITING WRIGHT PATMAN LAKE AND DAM BIGHEAD CARP HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED TO BE IN THE WATERS OF THE SULPHUR RIVER BELOW WRIGHT PATMAN DAM. IT IS CRUCIAL TO THE SURVIVIAL OF ALL NATIVE FISHES THAT THESE INVASIVE SPECIES ARE NOT TAKING LIVE FROM THE LAKE OR SULPHUR RIVER, AND THAT BAIT FISH CAUGHT ON THE SULPHUR RIVER ARE NOT TAKEN LAKESIDE LIVE.
