Hords Creek Lake Volunteer Opportunities

Hords Creek Lake is always seeking individuals that are willing to donate 20 hours a week to assist the project staff with operations and maintenance projects. Volunteers are offered a free campsite for the duration of their stay at Hords Creek Lake, and work directly with the project staff on a daily basis. Volunteers can be assigned to a number of different roles such as:

  • Campground cleanup: debris from recent flooding, painting, landscaping, etc.
  • Equipment operation: shop tools, landscaping equipment, heavy machinery, etc.
  • Minor maintenance repair: leaks, light bulbs, welding, park signs, etc.
  • Office: clerical, phones, public relations, etc. Note: this position requires a high-level of responsibility and professionalism.
  • Park Host: Greet guests and help them get settled in their designated camping area.
