The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District welcomes you to Lake Georgetown, located in Georgetown, Texas. Our mission: supply water to the cities of Georgetown and Round Rock, Brushy Creek MUD, provide flood risk management to the Georgetown area, and offer some of the best fishing, camping and boating in Texas.

Effective October 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is happy to announce that the road work on the Lake Georgetown embankment road is now completed.  The stilling basin, Overlook and parking area at Cedar Breaks are now all open for your use.  Thank you for your understanding while we performed necessary maintenance to the embankment road.   Users of the embankment road should use caution as there could be sections of loose rock from the repairs.  Remember to be safe around the water and always wear a life jacket and please continue to follow the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 for everyone's safety.

Attention Campers: Temporary changes to our lake policies have been put in place to keep our parks and visitors safe. Please take note of the policies as you prepare for your visit to Lake Georgetown:
•  Face masks are recommended for all visitors.
•  Groups of no more than 5 people are allowed in day use areas.
•  Groups must maintain a six foot distance from other groups.
•  Day use areas are limited to 80% capacity. These areas may fill up and entry may be temporarily restricted. Increased wait times are expected on holidays and busy weekends.
•  Campers are only permitted 3 cars per campsite.
•  No more than 8 people are permitted per campsite.

JIM HOGG PARK: Construction is scheduled to begin in Jim Hogg Park January 01, 2020 and last through March 31, 2021.  Construction may be ongoing during your visit. Water and electricity may be temporarily unavailable at times. Camping and day use facilities may be closed without notice. If campsites are closed, reservations may be cancelled. Cancellations due to construction will be automatically refunded.

NO EXTENSIONS OCTOBER 31, 2020 - FEBRUARY 28, 2021: Due to construction, the 120-day extensions will not be granted at any Lake Georgetown Corps of Engineers parks October 31, 2020 through February 28, 2020. Camping will be limited to 14 days within a 30-day-consecutive period per the Fort Worth District extension policy.
