The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District welcomes you to Lake Georgetown, located in Georgetown, Texas. Our mission: supply water to the cities of Georgetown and Round Rock, Brushy Creek MUD, provide flood risk management to the Georgetown area, and offer some of the best fishing, camping and boating in Texas.

Be Safe & Wear Your Life Jacket!
Visitors of the US Army Corps of Engineer Lake Georgetown project, please be aware that we will be temporarily closing Jim Hogg Park and Russell Park entirely for scheduled youth hunts on the following dates: September 30th – October 7th, 2024, January 13th – January 20th , 2025, and February 3rd – February 10th, 2025. During this time and for public safety, vehicle and pedestrian access is prohibited, including but not limited to walk-ins, bike-ins, any day-use facility usage and/or campground access. If you have any questions about the important updates mentioned above, questions may be referred to our Lake Office through the following number: (512)930-2283. Thank you.
Lake Georgetown will be conducting prescribed burns as conditions allow between December 2, 2024 to March 31, 2025. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Georgetown Fire Department are partnering to conduct prescribed burns around Lake Georgetown. The prescribed burns are in efforts towards reduction of fuel loading next to urban developments, environmental stewardship, and public safety.

Lake Georgetown no longer accepts cash payments for any USACE operated campground or boat ramp. If you need assistance, please contact us at (512) 930-5253. We appreciate your cooperation.

America the Beautiful Access, Military Annual and Senior, Every Kid Outdoors, and Annual Corps Passes are available at the Lake Georgetown Project Office, Monday-Friday. Please call project office prior to arrival to ensure passes are available, (512) 930-5253. All other passes are available at the USGS Store, Click Here.
