Corps Parks at Jim Chapman Lake/Cooper Dam

The Stilling Basin is located just below the Cooper Dam outlet works. The park offers visitors with free picnic facitlites and restrooms and opportunity for fishing.

Located near the West end of Cooper Dam on FM 1529 and CR 4795 is the Wildlife Observation Deck. This deck and shrouded gravel walkway was built to provide an opportunity for bird enthusiasts to enjoy the wildlife that is located around the area. Also, the deck provides a spectacular view of the lake for visitor's who are looking for a relaxing experience.
