The Recreation.gov website has an entirely new look with features including simplified search capabilities, enhanced content and streamlined Google maps.  Visitors to the website can now do much more than make reservations for camping, tours and tickets at federal facilities.  The Corps has almost 30,000 reservable campsites in Recreation.gov and there is a wealth of information about Corps water resources projects.  More details on the new features added to the Recreation.gov website may be found under the “New Look! New Features!” Tab located at the top right hand corner of Recreation.gov home page.  We hope you take some time to explore the new Recreation.gov website, and better yet, we hope you find some great new places to get out and Explore Your America!  http://www.recreation.gov

ATTENTION CAMPERS, BOATERS, AND GENERAL PUBLIC: Beginning 1 November 2011 various roads will be undergoing paving work throughout Waxahachie Creek Park, High View Park and Little Mustang Creek Park. This work has the potential to close areas and campsites in Waxahachie Creek Park and if this occurs reservations may be cancelled or campers may have to relocate their RV's if they are currently in the park. The work may cause areas to be closed in High View Park or traffic may be reduced to the Marina and boat ramp. Should you have any questions contact the lake office Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm at 972-875-5711 (closed Federal holidays).

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 12 December 2011: Due to current ongoing paving construction at Waxahachie Creek Park and High View Park there will be intermittent closings throughout Waxahachie Creek Park and access to High View Boat Ramp and Marina during the next several weeks. Please contact the Bardwell Lake Office Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm for current closure information.

The following boat ramps are currently CLOSED due to extreme low water conditions: Waxahachie Creek Park, Love Park, and Little Mustang Creek. Only the outer two boat ramp lanes at Highview Park are still open (gates are open from 6 am - 10 pm daily); and boaters should use continue to use extreme care when launching due to ongoing water level fluctuations. The launching of any large boats (i.e. pontoons, party boats, etc.) is not recommended at these ramps. Launch at your own risk.
