Discount Passes

The Corps of Engineers accepts the Golden Age and Golden Access passports and the America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes as valid for discounts for camping fees. No other documentation will be accepted as proof of age or disability for the purpose of receiving discounts at Corps of Engineers parks.

As of January 1, 2007 the Corps is no longer issuing any Golden Age or Golden Access passports. Existing passports may still be used until they are lost, defaced or stolen. Replacements for America the Beautiful passes must be obtained from a participating federal agency (Forest Service, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Managment, and the Bureau of Reclamation). The passes may be purchased in person or thru the mail.

Annual Passes

Annual passes entitle holders to the use of any Corps of Engineers operated boat launching ramps or swimming beaches at any project for a calendar year. The Annual Pass admits the holder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle. The annual pass does not cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires. Annual passes may be purchased at day use areas having a staffed collection station and at lake offices. The Bardwell Lake Office is located at 4000 Observation Drive, Ennis, TX.

Annual passes now come with a plastic hang tag for the rear view mirror and may be transferred from one vehicle to another.  Please visit one of our attended entrance stations to purchase the pass.  The cost is $30.00 per pass.  Owners of a Federal Recreation Pass, Golden Age Passport or Golden Access Passport will receive a 50% discount at the time of purchase.
