Trails at Belton Lake

Belton Lake has trail system located below the Belton Dam within the Miller Springs Nature Center. This multi-use trail system is open for hiking and mountain biking and consists of 10 miles of trails to navigate. Management of the trails and surrounding 260 acres of property is done in cooperation between the City of Belton and City of Temple.

Trail Etiquette

Sharing the trail and practicing good trail etiquette help keeps your experience, and others, safe and enjoyable.

  • When stopping or slowing, move to the side of the trail. Don't block the trail.
  • Kindly let others know you are coming before passing and always try to pass on the right.
  • Know your limits and stay within them for your safety and others.
  • Leave no trace and don't litter. Pack in what you pack out.
  • For dog owners: keep your pets on a leash and under control at all times. Pick up what they leave behind on the trail.
