Swimming at Belton Lake

Swimming is allow at Belton lake outside of restricted areas, though, for your safety, it is highly recommended that swimming is conducted at designated swim beaches. Swimming, wading, snorkeling or scuba diving at one's own risk is permitted, except at boat launching sites, designated mooring points and public docks, or other areas so designated by the District Commander. An international diver down, or inland diving flag must be displayed during underwater activities. Diving, jumping or swinging from trees, bridges or other structures which cross or are adjacent to project waters is prohibited. Be safe and wear a Life Jacket!!

Designated Swim Beach Locations

Temple's Lake Park

Temple's Lake Park is a USACE operated day-use facility that, along with its designated swim beach, has 60 picnic sites, restrooms with showers, two boat ramps, a basketball court, sand volleyball courts, group pavilion for reservation and a playground. A day use fee is required for use of the park.

Westcliff Park

This USACE operated park is a multi-use park with both camping and day-use available. In the day-use area, Westcliff Park has 11 picnic sites, a boat ramp, restrooms, a playground and designated swim beach. Access to the swim beach is included with a camping reservation or requires a day use fee.

Cedar Ridge Park

Cedar Ridge Park is a USACE operated campground and has a designated swim beach located on the eastern side of the campground. This beach is available for campers only. No day use is allowed without a camping reservation.

Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA)

BLORA is located on Fort Cavazos and operated by Fort Cavazos MWR. For more information on what they offer, please, visit their website.
