Corps of Engineers Parks at Belton Lake

Welcome to the Park Information page for Belton Lake.

Gatehouses on Belton Lake will no longer be regularly manned. Gatehouse hours vary by park. For general information about the lake stop at the Belton Lake Office Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The office is located at 3110 FM 2271, Belton, TX. 76513 at the south end of the Belton Lake Dam.

Cedar Ridge Park

Cedar Ridge Park is a campground located on the east side of the lake. The Park is open year-round but from October 1 through the March 1, campsites 1-40 and all screened shelters are not available. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Gatehouse hours are Friday, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Camping facilities consist of 63 single and 1 double RV with 50 amp electric and potable water service, 4 tent sites with up to 30 amp electric and water and 8 screened shelters with 15 amp outlets and an exterior water faucet. Waterborne restrooms with showers are located throughout the campground. Sanitary dump stations are available at each side of the park. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

The park also features a swim beach boat ramp and camper activity center reserved for campground users, a 2 lane day-use boat ramp, Cove and Sunset day-use group shelters and Turkey Roost group camping area with 10 sites, a pavilion and restroom. The leased North Point Marina is also accessed through Cedar Ridge Park.

Live Oak Ridge Park

Live Oak Ridge Park is located on the east shore of the lake adjacent to the Belton Lake Dam. This dedicated campground has 28 single RV sites among its shady oak trees. All but 10 sites remain open year-round. Those 10 are closed from October 1 through March 1. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The gatehouse is unmanned but volunteers are available in the park to assist campers.

The campground includes 29 sites are available with 50 amp electric and potable water service while the remaining 19 have 30 amp electric with water. Two waterborne restrooms with showers are located in the campground. A sanitary dump station is conveniently located within the park. A 2 lane boat ramp is also available for campground users. Live Oak Ridge Park Map

Westcliff Park

This multi-use park is located on the south side of the lake along the right bank featuring both day-use facilities and a campground with easy access to the lake. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The day-use area closes at 8:30 pm. Gatehouse hours are Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Westcliff Park closes for the winter season from October 1 through March 1. The boat ramp is available for use year-round.

The campground has 26 single RV sites and one tent site with 50 amp electric and potable water. Four primitive tent sites with no electric or water are also available in the park. The campground features a waterborne restroom with showers and a sanitary dump station. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

The day-use area is open to campers and day users alike. This area features covered picnic tables, swim beach, a 2-lane boat ramp and public restrooms at the picnic area and swim beach.

White Flint Park

White Flint Park is peaceful campground located along the western shores on the upper part of Belton Lake. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Gatehouse hours are from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Friday through Sunday. The park closes during the winter season from October 1 through March 1 but the park's boat ramp remains open year-round. The campground features 13 single RV sites with 50 amp electric and potable water and 12 screened shelters with 15 amp outlets and an exterior water faucet. Included in the park is a waterborne restroom with showers, a sanitary dump station conveniently located near the entrance to the park and a 2-lane boat ramp with restroom that is open to both campers and for day use.

White Flint Park Map

Winkler Park

For those looking for a more primitive camping experience, Winkler Park has it. This campground is located just north of White Flint Park on the upper portion of Belton Lake. Sites have limited utilities but can accommodate both RV and tent campers. A volunteer resides in the park to assist campers. Winkler Park is open seasonally from March 2 through September 30. Winkler Park consists of 14 non-electric campsites with asphalt parking pads and potable water service. A waterborne restroom with showers is available within the park.

Temple's Lake Park

Temple's Lake Park is the destination day-use facility on Belton Lake. The park is located in view of the Belton Dam along a sandy point of the east shoreline. Temple's Lake Park offers covered picnic sites with bbq grills, a designated swim beach, sand volleyball and two 2-lane boat ramps. Park hours are from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm. An attendant is available in the gatehouse Friday, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The park closes for winter season of October 1 through March 1 with the exception of one boat ramp which remains available year-round.

A day-use group pavilion is also available for reservation in the park featuring 15 amp electric outlets and water faucet.

Belton Lakeview Park

Belton Lakeview is a day-use park along a scenic cliff area of Belton Lake's south shoreline. The area offers a free-for-use picnic area, a restroom and 2-lane boat ramp. Belton Lakeview Park's picnic area is open from 8:00 am until sunset. The picnic area closes for the winter season between October 1 and March 1. The boat ramp is available for use year-round.

Two day-use group pavilions are available in the park for reservation. Franks Pavilion and Overlook Pavilion. Franks Pavilion is located within the park and is unavailable for the winter season. Overlook Pavilion is available year-round and is located outside of the park adjacent to the Belton Dam.

Roger's Park

This park is a located along the east bank of the lake accessed through the city of Morgan's Point Resort. The park is open year-round and consists of a 2-lane boat ramp and vault toilet. There is no fee to use Roger's Park.

Leona Park

Leona Park is a located under Highway 36 on the east side of the lake. The park is open year-round and has of a 2-lane boat ramp and vault toilet. There is no fee for Leona Park.

Arrowhead Point

Arrowhead Point is a boat launch area with a 2-lane boat ramp and vault toilet. This area used to be part of Temple's Lake Park and is a popular place for a hike along the old roadbed that used to join the two areas. Use of Arrowhead Point is free.

McGregor Park

McGregor Park is a free to use day-use boat launch area. The park has one single lane boat ramp ideal for smaller vessels and a vault toilet. The park is also home to the Temple Aero Modelers Airfield.

Owl Creek Park

Owl Creek Park is a primitive tent camping area on the west bank of Belton Lake located where Owl Creek meets the lake. The park closes during the winter season from October 1 through March 1. There is no gatehouse on site but park rangers routinely monitor the area ready to assist visitors. There is no fee to use Owl Creek Park but camping stay limits do apply.

Owl Creek Park includes 8 primitive tent camping sites throughout the park, a vault toilet and 2-lane boat ramp. No electricity or water is available in the park.

Iron Bridge Park

This primitive day-use area is located along the upper reaches of Belton Lake on the right bank of the Leon River. Iron Bridge Park gets its name from the old bridge that used to span across the river near its location. The park offers a few picnic tables, a small craft boat ramp and vault toilet. It is free to use Iron Bridge Park.

Miller Springs Park

Miller Springs Park is a day-use area located at the outflow of the Belton Lake Dam outlet works. Amenities consist of picnic tables, a vault toilet and easy access to the Miller Springs Nature Area Trail. Park hours are from 8:00 am to sunset. Miller Springs Park is free to use.
