Fishing at Navarro Mills Lake
Fishing at Navarro Mills Lake is a very popular recreational activity. The lake holds the current state record for crappie, and fishermen come from all over to sample some of the best crappie fishing anywhere. Fishing for largemouth bass, channel cat and yellow cat is very popular also. Hefty hybrid stripers are often caught below the dam when water is being released. A concrete fishing platform contributes to the fishing enjoyment. A valid state fishing license is required to fish on Navarro Mills Lake.
There are fishing piers in Liberty Hill, Oak and Wolf Creek Parks available to campers and day users. Bank fishing is also popular at Navarro Mills Lake and is allowed in any area open to the public. Fishermen must observe posted restricted areas and applicable day use fees. Size and bag limits must be in compliance with Texas Parks and Wildlife rules and regulations.
