Corps Parks at Lake O' the PInes

Alley Creek Campground

Alley Creek Campground is a highly developed multi-use park located on the north shore of Lake O' The Pines, just off FM 729. The park provides a day-use area with 6 individual picnic sites. In order to provide for visitor safety and enjoyment, day-use and camping facilities are located in different areas of the park. There are 49 RV campsites with hard surfaced pads and some are available with tent pads. Each of these sites includes a picnic table, fire ring, lantern holder, water hydrant, and electrical connections. 30 tent campsites are available which includes a picnic table, lantern holder, and a fire ring. Water hydrants are located at random within each tent area. Two restroom facilities are provided for the above camping areas, and each restroom has flush toilets, showers, and lavatories. The group camping area has 12 developed campsites with parking pad, fire ring, lantern holder, water hydrant, and electrical connections. In addition, this area has a pavilion with picnic tables and a restroom facility with flush toilets and showers. The group camping pavilion is reserved through the NRRS (1-877-444-6777). The park area also includes dumpsters in various locations and a sewage dump station.

Brushy Creek Campground

Brushy Creek is located on the south shore of Lake O' The Pines, just off FM 726. Campsites with electricity and water are provided for RV and tent campers and some less developed areas are also available for tent camper (without electricity). There are 37 tent sites and only those located in Tent Area T1 include a tent pad, fire ring, and a lantern post. 12 sites have electricity. Sites in Tent Area T2 are the same as T1 sites but without a tent pad. Potable water hydrants are located in both tent areas. 62 RV sites are available which include hard surface pads. picnic table, lantern pole, water hydrant, and electrical connection. Some RV sites include tent pads. Two RV dump stations are located in the park as well as four restrooms which include flush toilets and three of the facilities have showers.

Buckhorn Creek Campground

Buckhorn Creek is located at the end of Ferrel's Bridge Dam, just off FM 726. 38 tent campsites are available which include a tent pad, picnic table, lantern pole, and access to a trash receptacle. Three water hydrants are distributed within each tent area. There are 58 RV campsites which include a hard pad, lantern post, fire ring, water hydrant, and electrical connection. Some RV sites are equipped with a tent pad. An RV dump station is provided at the entrance to the park. Four restroom facilities are provided for the above camping areas which have flush toilets and two of the facilities have showers.

Johnson Creek Park

Johnson Creek Park is located on the north shore of Lake O' The Pines, just off FM 729. There are 22 tent campsites complete with tent pad, fire ring, lantern post, and a picnic table. Tent sites 08-12 are walk-in only (within 50 to 100 feet of parking area). Potable water hydrants are located within both tent areas. There are 63 RV campsites and the reservable group camping area has 12 additional sites. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, lantern pole, water hydrant, and electrical connection. One RV dump station is located within the the park and four restroom facilities are available. Each restroom has flush toilets and showers. Johnson Creek Day Use are includes a fishing dock, boat ramp, volleyball court, swimming beach, picnic area with picnic table and grill, restroom, coutresy dock, amphitheater, and a rentable pavilion.
