Swimming at Whitney Lake

There are two Corps of Engineers swim beaches on Whitney Lake. One is located in McCown Valley Day Use off of FM 1713. The other swim beach is located in Lofers Bend Day Use Park off of State Highway 22 (adjacent to the dam). The cost for use of these two areas is $5 per vehicle. The McCown Valley swim beach is also accessible to people camping in McCown Valley Park.

Visitors can pay for their Day Use access for McCown Valley Day Use here and for Lofers Day Use here . Additionally, there are QR codes on signs at the entrance to the parks that will take you to these sites as well if you would prefer to get your pass through your smartphone.
