Corps Parks at Stillhouse Hollow Lake


Welcome to the Park Information Page for Stillhouse Hollow Lake

There is a Gatehouse at the entrance of most park's for you to receive general information about the lake or you can stop in at the Stillhouse Hollow Lake Office Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The office is located at 3740 FM 1670 Belton, TX 76513 at the north end of the Stillhouse Hollow Dam.

Dana Peak Park


Dana Peak Park is a multi-use area on the northside of the lake featuring both camping and day-use facilities. The park is open year round but the swimbeach and picnic area close from October 1 through the end of February. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm

Camping facilities consist of 17 single and 3 double RV sites with 50 amp electric and potable water service, 5 tent sites with electric and water and 8 primitive tent camping sites with no utilities. A waterborne restroom with showers is located within the campground. A sanitary dump station is available near the entrance to the camping facilities. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

Day-use facilities include a designated swimbeach, covered picnic sites with bbq grills, a 4-lane boatramp with courtesy dock, waterborne and vault restrrom facilities, access to the Dana Peak trail system and an equestrian trailer parking area. Other features located outside of the gatehouse are the Dana Peak Trail trailhead and a fishing dock. The Comanche Gap Day-Use Pavilion is available for reservation within the park.

Union Grove Park


Union Grove Park is a campground located on the southside of the lake consisting of 26 single and 2 double RV sites with 50 amp electric and potable water, 7 tent sites with water and electric and 3 screened shelter sites with water and electric. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

Other amenities offered within the campground include a sanitary dump station, a desingated swim beach, playgound and 2 waterborne restrooms with showers. A 4-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock, fishing dock and restroom are available for day-use also and available to campers.

Union Grove Park is open year round but from October 1 through the end of February, campsite availability is limited. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Just outside of the gathouse at Union Grove Park is located the Cen-Tex Modelers Inc. Remote Controlled Flying Club's airfield. This has been the home of Hall Model Field since the early 1980s.

Stillhouse Park

This day-use area is located on the northeast shore of the lake with a great view of Stillhouse Hollow Dam. Stillhouse Park offers covered picnic sites with bbq grills, a designated swim beach, sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, access to the Dana Peak hiking trail, a 4-lane boat ramp and waterborne restrooms. The Stillhouse Marina is also located in the park, just past the boat ramp.

Two day-use group pavilions, Island View Pavilion and Tear Drop Pavilion are available for daily reservation within the park.

The boat ramp and access to the Stillhouse Marina are open year round opening at 6:00 am each morning. All other facilities are closed from October 1 through the end of February and are open from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm.

Riversbend Park

Riversbend Park is located along the south shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake just east of Union Grove Park. The Park is open year round from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Riversbend Park consists of primitive uncovered picnic sites, a 4-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock and a vault toilet. This park is free to use.

Cedar Gap Park

This park is a located along the north side of the lake and is the western most developed access point for those looking to boat up river. The park is open year round and consists of a 2-lane boat ramp and vault toilet. Their is no fee to use Cedar Gap Park

Chalk Ridge Falls Nature Area

This popular attraction is located just off of FM 1670 on the south side of Stillhouse Hollow Dam. This area was developed as a nature education area and consists an interpretive hiking trail along the river stopping at the Chalk Ridge Falls, a natural waterfall, along the route. The parking area is located just below the dam and offers an excellent fishing opportunity. A vault toilet is located at the parking area. Area access is year round from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Entrance to the park is free.
