This day use area is located on the southeastern shore of the lake and consisting of 40 acres that has been developed. Access is via paved county and city roads. Existing development consists of a un-manned (electronic fee machine) at gatehouse, one 4-lane boat ramp, and one day-use group shelter.
The group shelter (Day Use Only – No Overnight) has ample parking, vault toilet, and pedestrian lake access. The shelter will accommodate up to 100 people. ALL PAVILION USAGE IS BY RESERVATION ONLY. Advance shelter reservations are available through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS™) at Recreation.gov or by telephone toll free at 1-877-444-6777.

High View Park

The park is on the west side of the lake and consists of approximately 155 acres with development on 84 acres. A paved county road leading from the State Highway 34 provides access to the park. Existing facilities include a peak hour attended entrance station, sanitary dump station, 39 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, one vault toilet and two waterborne restrooms with showers, one 4-lane boat ramp, one courtesy dock, and 10 picnic sites.
The group shelter (Day Use Only- No Overnight) has facilities to accommodate up to 50 people. ALL PAVILION USAGE IS BY RESERVATION ONLY. The park consists of approximately 270 acres with development on approximately 54 acres, and is located on the west side of the lake. Access to the area is a paved road that connects to FM 985. Existing facilities include a peak hour attended entrance station, sanitary dump station, 33 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, a day use picnic area, one vault toilet and one waterborne restroom with showers, one 4-lane boat ramp, one courtesy dock, and one group camping shelter.

Waxahachie Creek Park

The park is located in the upper reaches of the lake along the Waxahachie Creek arm of the lake. The park consists of approximately 205 acres with development on 63 acres. A paved county road leading from State Highway 34 provides access to the park. Existing facilities include an attended entrance station, one sanitary dump station, 69 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, 7, 4 vault toilets, 2 shower facilities, two 4-lane boat ramps, and one nature trail. *NO DAY USE- Camping Access ONLY*

Little Mustang Creek Park

This area is located in the upper reaches of the lake by the confluence of Mustang Creek and Little Mustang Creek. The area consists of 163 acres with development on 12 acres to date. Access is via an existing paved county road. Existing recreational development consists of one 4-lane boat ramp and one courtesy dock. The area is open year-round.
A permit is required for events or activities occurring in the park, including but not limited to bounce houses, water slides, weddings, tournaments, bands, DJs, church functions, etc. Swimming pools of any size are not allowed.
