We are the stewards of 58,512 acres of land and water held in the public trust...held for YOU. You can make a difference by helping to ensure the wise use of these precious resources today and their conservation for tomorrow.

Volunteer Opportunities can also be found on the volunteer.gov website at https://www.volunteer.gov/index.cfm

Individuals and couples can also find volunteer opporunities on the Workamper website at https://www.workamper.com

We need your help! As a volunteer, you can:

  • Work outdoors
  • Meet new people
  • Learn alongside knowledgeable professionals
  • Achieve a proud sense of contributing to the future of the nation
  • Maintain and develop trails
  • Conduct education and interpretive programs
  • Assist with water safety activities
  • Conduct wildlife surveys and habitat restoration
  • Rehab recreation facilities and campgrounds
  • Plus, it's just plain fun!
