Corps Parks at Canyon Lake

Welcome to the Park Information page for Canyon Lake.

Gatehouses on Canyon Lake will no longer be regularly manned. Gatehouse hours vary by park. For general information about the lake stop at the Canyon Lake Office Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The office is located at 601 C.O.E. Road, Canyon Lake, TX. 78133 at the south end of the Canyon Lake Dam.

Cranes Mill Park

Cranes Mill Park is a dedicated campground located on the south side of the lake. Cranes Mill Park is the western most park on the lake. The Park is open year-round during the winter season from October 1 through the end of March, campsites 31-64 are not available. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Camping facilities consist of 30 single RV sites with 50 amp electric and potable water service and 34 tent sites with water service only. Waterborne restrooms with showers are located throughout the campground. A sanitary dump stations is available near the entrance of the park. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

The park also features a 2-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock, fishing pier reserved for campers and a fishing dock located immediately outside of the park. The leased Cranes Mill Marina is also located just outside of the park.

Potters Creek Park

Potters Creek Park is located on the north shore of the lake. The park is open year-round but camping is limited as some sites are closed during the winter months from October 1 through the end of March. Park entrance hours are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The campground includes 93 single RV sites available with 50 amp electric and potable water service, 5 multi-unit family sites with 50 amp and water, 10 sites for tent camping only with water and 15 amp outlets and 7 screened shelters that include 15 amp outlets with water available outside of the shelters. Waterborne restrooms with showers are located in the campground. Two sanitary dump stations are conveniently located within the park. A 2 lane boat ramp with courtesy dock is also available for campground users. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

Other amenities in the park include a group camping shelter for reservation and a designated swim beach for campers. Located outside of the park is an additional boat ramp with courtesy dock and fishing dock available free for day-use. 2-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock, fishing pier reserved for campers and a fishing dock located immediately outside of the park. The leased Cranes Mill Marina is also located just outside of the park.

North Park

For those looking for a more primitive camping experience, North Park is your Canyon Lake destination. This campground is located just north of the Canyon Lake Dam with excellent views of Canyon Lake and Dam. The park has limited utilities. Volunteers reside in the park to assist campers. North Park has been a popular location for campers looking to scuba dive. North Park is open seasonally from April 1 through September. Go to www.recreation.gov to make a reservation.

North Park consists of 20 non-electric campsites with centralized potable water fountains in the park. A vault restroom is available within the park.

Little Jacobs Creek Park

Little Jacobs (also known as boat ramp 17) is located on the north side of the Canyon Lake, adjacent to the Joint Base San Antonio Recreation Area. This ramp is open year-round and consists of a 2-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock and vault toilet. There is no fee to use Little Jacobs Creek Park.
