Bosque Park

Location

Bosque Park is located directly below the outlet works of the dam. From IH 35 take Lake Shore Drive exit and head West. Take a right onto Airport Road, park entrance is 200 yards on the left.

Day-Use Area

The park is open year round from 6:00am to sunset. The park is a popular location for fishermen, especially when water is being released through the outlet works.

Lacy Point Access Area

Location

Lacy Point Access Area is located on the west shore of the lake. From IH 35 take Hwy 6 north for about 7 miles to Speegleville Rd., exit right, go 1 mile to stop sign, go right to park entrance.

Day Use Facilities

Lacy Point Access Area consists of a two-lane boat ramp and a hike/bike trail. There is no fee for boat launching at this access. This is a popular spot for bird-watching, walking, biking and horesback riding.

Lacy Point Hike/Bike Trail

Lacy Point provides the public with approximately 20 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and bicycling. These trails are open not only to humans, but leashed animals as well. The Waco Bike Club and Texas Equestrian Trail Riders Association also help maintain this facility.

Primitive restroom facilities are located at the trail head, next to the boat ramp parking lot. The roads and trails are not suitable for the narrow "road bike" type tires. Trail head parking is permitted on the grass by the pipe fence.

Twin Bridges Park

Location

Twin Bridges Park, formerly known as Speegleville III Park, is located on the west shore of the lake. From I-35, take exit 330B Hwy 6 N toward Meridian for about 6 miles. After passing over the lake on the Twin Bridges, take the first exit toward Lake Waco/Speegleville Park. Turn left on the access road and the park entrance will be on the right.

Day Use Facilities

There are two swim beaches with 64 covered picnic sites, a four lane boat ramp, and a group shelter which can be reserved. For more information on the Twin Bridges Group Shelter, click here

The fee to enter the day-use area is $5.00 per vehicle.

Flat Rock Access Area

Location

Flat Rock Park is located on the north shore of the lake. From IH 35 take Hwy 6 north to Hwy 185. Turn right on Hwy 185 for 4 miles to Yankee Rd. Turn right on Yankee Rd for 2 miles and the park entrance will be on the right.

Day Use Facilities

This park contains a one lane boat ramp and parking. There is no fee for boat launching in this park. This park is also an excellent location for bird watching.

Airport Beach

Location

Airport Beach is located on the north shore of the lake 1/4 mile west of the dam. From I-35 take Lake Shore Drive exit (Exit 339) and drive west to Steinbeck Bend Road. Turn right and proceed to second stop light. At intersection with FM1637 (China Spring Highway) turn right. Go to next stop light (Flat Rock Road). Turn left and drive approximately 1 mile to Skeet Eason Road. Turn left and drive about a 1/2 mile. Airport Beach Park is on the second road to the right.

Day Use Facilities

There is a swim beach with 47 covered picnic sites, a four lane boat ramp, and a reservable group shelter. For more information on the Airport Beach Group Shelter: click here

Koehne Park

Location

Koehne park is located on the south shore of the lake off of Lake Shore Drive.

Day Use Facilities

Koehne Park consists of a two lane boat ramp and aproximatly 10 covered picnic tables. Many enjoy Koehne for its prime fishing location and beautiful views of the lake.
