Equestrian Facilities at Sam Rayburn Reservoir

Equestrian Trails and Camping are available at Ebenezer Park, located off Hwy 255, 1.5 miles west of the Sam Rayburn Dam. Trails are provided primarily by the US Forest Service, Angelina National Forest, and are presently not designated or marked, but are open for use.

Camping facilities for equestrians are available at Ebenezer Park. Ten campsites with electric and water hookups are available for equestrian use. Seven have 30 amp electric, and three have 50 amp hookups. Hitching posts are located at all 13 sites, and corrals are located within the camping area. A Day Use area is located near the trail head for those who do not wish to camp; however, camping is prohibited in the Day Use Area.
