Applicants must show proof of valid driver’s License or State issued identification card and must be 17 years old or older. Applicants must show proof of hunter education or be exempt (born before Sept. 2, 1971. All applicants that wish to apply MUST do so in person at the Proctor Lake Office located at 2180 FM 2861, Comanche, TX 76442. Applications can be obtained online or at the Proctor Lake Office. Migratory Game bird hunting permits will be issued between the first Monday of May until the last Friday in September. The General hunting permits will be issued between the first Monday of May until the last Friday in January; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays. No permits will be issued after the application close date. All previous hunting permit holders must submit a hunting survey prior to being issued the next permit.

The number of permits will be based on the hunting areas capacity for a safe, enjoyable, quality, and most of all sustainable hunting experience for the public. Seasons, regulations, and bag limits are identified by Proctor Lake hunting policy, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and US Fish and Wildlife for Comanche County. All permit holders and their guests must comply with all Federal and Texas hunting license requirements.
