Canyon Beach Park is located on the North shore of Canyon Lake within Canyon Park.   Canyon Beach is located to the left before entering Canyon Park. The facilities include picnic tables, closable grills, a beach, vault toilet and water fountain.

Note:  NO PETS ALLOWED!    If we find you with a pet you will be asked to take it home or leave the facility.

Comal Park

Comal Park is located on the South shore of Canyon Lake near Startzville. Comal Park has two boat ramps, 65 picnic sites, a large swim beach, children's playground, a restroom at the beach and two boatramps.

Note:    On arrival, visitors should check-in at the park entrance station; ask the attendant for the official time of park closure for that day.   Pets are allowed in park on a leash, but NO pet is allowed in the swim beach area. This includes the shore and water.

 

Guadalupe Park

Useage of Guadalupe Park is free of charge.

Guadalupe Park is located below Canyon Dam along the first mile of the Guadalupe River.   It features an ADA-accessible parking lot with a walking trailway to a fishing pier on the north side. A hiking foot trail is available along the river on the south side of the park. The river can be accessed from either trail for fishing. Please have a state fishing license.

The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) manages a hydropower plant along the north side of the river near the fishing pier.   This stretch of the Guadalupe river is very popular as the State's premier trout fishing stream.  The Guadalupe River is the Southernmost sustainable trout fishery in the nation.  No restroom, camping or picnic facilities are available in the park. Sometimes a portable toilet is provided.  The nearest restroom facility is located at nearby Overlook Park near the southern end of Canyon Dam.  Overlook Park closes at sunset daily.

 

Overlook Park

Facilities: Public Restoom, benches under oak trees, walking trails

Overlook Park is on a hilltop at the south end of Canyon Dam, and is the location of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters at Canyon Lake. The park offers a scenic view of Canyon Lake, aA restroom for visitors, and hikeing trails through the trees and along the lower shoreline.

Park is a not a day use area, but designated for scenic viewing.

NO Alcoholic beverage is allowed in the park or along the shoreline.

No Cliff Diving allowed.

The office for visitor information is open Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm, excluding Federal Holidays.

The use of this park is free of charge currently.
