General Information about Camping Park Gate Hours

ALL Park Gates Close at 10pm sharp.

Campers must be check-in prior to 10pm. This includes guests with reservations.

There are no afterhours check-ins. No Exceptions . If you are late, you will have to wait until the following day when the gate opens in the morning to access your site if you have not checked in on time.

There are no refunds for reservations that are not checked-in before the gate closes. You made the reservation, so plan to arrive on time.

We do NOT have public access to the parks after 10 pm. This is for the privacy and protection of the guests in the parks.

There are NO access code, key pad/lock, or late night check-ins once the gate house closes.

Anyone attempting to force the gates open, or enter the park illegally after 10pm can potentially be sent away, lose any reservation they might have already, and fined.

If your a guest and come back after 10pm, you wil have to walk to your site from the gate, and then pick up your car in the morning.

NOTES TO THE PUBLIC:

In accordance with the Texas Transportation Code , Golf Carts are not allowed to be operated on Public Roadways at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Projects. This means please leave your carts at home and use your a bike, your feet or your car to travel on the park roads.

On weekends, holidays and when a park is at capacity, there are NO drive throughs allowed in any of the parks. You are welcome to visit any other day and drive through our camping parks.

Potter's Creek Park is is a beautiful Class A park located on the northwest side of Canyon Lake t hat Include s modern RV and Tent camping amenities. The facilities include one hundred fourteen (114) modern RV campsites, seven (7) Screened Shelters, ten (10) designated tent camping sites, and five (5) Family Sites.

Facility: RV, Tent, Screen Shelters, Group Pavilion

Not A Day Use Facility. Usage of Park by Paid Camping Guests Only!

Conversly, if demand is low, we will close a section.

Canyon Park

Aerial Of Canyon Park

Hours: 8am -10pm Daily

Facility: TENT CAMPING ONLY. NO RV sites. No RV, pop-ups, pull behinds, allowed. Small cargo trailers carrying your camping gear allowed only. Campers built into your truck allowed as long as you do not remove it to use as a seperate camping unit from your vehicle. You can day use at the swim beach near the entrance to the park.

Not A Day Use Facility. Usage of Park by Paid Guests Only!

Season: 1 April - 30 September. It is closed for the winter. The park is open from 8am to 10pm daily. All entrances are locked at 10pm with no re-entry available until 7am the next morning. Checkout is at 2pm. Check in is 3pm.

Canyon Park is a Class C tent camp ground located on the North shore of Canyon Lake. The facilities include 150 campsites, two overnight shelters, one day use shelter, a boat ramp with courtesy dock, vault toilets, water fountains and over 8 miles of hiking and biking trails. This park is Class C and does NOT offer shower facilities.

Cranes Mill Park is a beautiful Class A facility with modern RV and Camping sites. It is located on the Southwest shore of Canyon Lake at the end of FM 2673, just past the town of Startzville. It contains 30 RV sites, 34 tent sites, 3 restrooms, a boat ramp, boat dock, 2 fishing piers and water & electricity at most sites.

North Park

North Park is located on the North side of Canyon Lake Dam on North Park Road. There are 19 campsites (no RV hookups), vault toilets, no showers, no boat ramp. Each campsite includes a picnic table and a fire ring. This is a popular scuba diving area.
