Picnicking at Belton Lake

Temple's Lake Park- This is a day use park that has 62 picnic sites with excellent water access, a swimming beach, restrooms with showers, two 2  lane concrete boat ramps, basketball court, volleyball court, group pavilion (Temple's Lake Pavilion), and playground for the kids.

Owl Creek Park- This park has 10 picnic/tent camping sites with excellent shade, restrooms and a two lane concrete boat ramp The sites do not have hook-ups in this park. Potable water is available at a central location within the park. Currently, the use of this facility is free.

Westcliff Park- This park has 11 picnic sites, a swimming beach, restrooms, and boat ramp available for day users. Also within this park are 27 campsites with water and electric hook ups and 4 tent only sites.

Miller Springs Park- This area has 5 picnic sites with excellent shade and access to the Leon River immediately below the Belton Dam. Water and electric is not available in this area. The park is known for good fishing following the release of water from the lake. Swimming is not recommended due to the hazardous currents and sudden fluctuations in the water level. Vault restrooms are located within the park and currently, the use of this area is free.

McGregor Park- This park is gradually being upgraded to offer higher quality facilities to park users. A Park Host resides within the park to monitor the activities of the visitors. Vault restrooms and a one lane concrete boat ramp is available for launching small watercraft. The ramp is located in a shallow area of the lake. Currently, the use of the facilities in this park is free.

Iron Bridge Park- This park has 5 picnic/tent camping sites. Water and electric is not available in this area. The park has a two lane concrete boat ramp for launching small watercraft. This ramp is extremely shallow and boats larger that 14 foot flat bottom are not able to launch at this ramp. Vault restrooms are provided within the park. Fees are not charged for the use of this area.

Sparta Valley Park - This park open areas for bank fishing, a two lane concrete boat ramp and vault restrooms. There is no fee to use this area.

Belton Lakeview Park- This park has several covered and open picnic tables overlooking Belton Lake. Franks Pavilion is located in the park and the park has a playground, restrooms and a two lane boat ramp. There is no fee to use this area.
