Primitive Camping Areas


Reservations may be made at the park, on the web at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

There is not an additional fee charged for making a reservation. ENSURE you have a site, make a reservation from today up to 6 months in advance of your arrival. The campgrounds fill up every weekend over the summer season. Be sure you are aware of all policies concerning reservations such as cancellation and no show fees. Sites with reservations are held for 24 hours after check in time on the arrival date and then are released for walk in customers.

Dana Peak Park- This park offers 8 primitive campsites. Tthe sites are located on the shoreline. Sites include a picnic table and fire ring and a cooker. This park has restroom facilities with hot showers, swimming beach, fishing dock and a four lane concrete boatramp. Advanced Reservations can be made for this park or online at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. There is a Volunteer Camp Host that resides in the park year round to serve the campers.
