Volunteer Program

The Corps of Engineers at Somerville Lake offers many volunteer opportunities in recreation and natural resource management. We are the stewards of 30,000 acres of land and water held in the public trust...held for YOU. You can make a difference by helping to ensure the wise use of these precious resources today and for their conservation for tomorrow.

Over the years the Corps of Engineers at Somerville Lake have been fortunate to have some useful and needed projects completed by volunteers. Contributions made by the participants in the Volunteer Program have improved wildlife habitat, promoted conservation ethics on the part of young people, enriched the experiences of the many thousands of visitors who come annually to the reservoir's shores, parks and trails and provided a worthwhile and rewarding experience for themselves.
