Welcome to Lewisville Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District welcomes you to Lewisville Lake, located in Lewisville, Texas. Our missions are to provide flood risk management to the Dallas metro area,store water for the city of Dallas and manage the recreation and natural resources around the lake.

Lewisville Lake is a part of the Trinity Regional Project. The Trinity Regional Project is a cluster of seven local lakes: Bardwell, Benbrook, Grapevine, Joe Pool, Lavon, Lewisville and Ray Roberts. A team of managers, administrators, park rangers, natural resource specialists and engineering technicians work together to manage the recreation, natural resources, and civil works facilities for all seven of these lakes.

Latest News and Updates

The Recreation.gov website has an entirely new look with features including simplified search capabilities, enhanced content and streamlined Google maps.  Visitors to the website can now do much more than make reservations for camping, tours and tickets at federal facilities.  The Corps has almost 30,000 reservable campsites in Recreation.gov and there is a wealth of information about Corps water resources projects.  More details on the new features added to the Recreation.gov website may be found under the “New Look! New Features!” Tab located at the top right hand corner of Recreation.gov home page.  We hope you take some time to explore the new Recreation.gov website, and better yet, we hope you find some great new places to get out and Explore Your America!  http://www.recreation.gov

Due to low lake levels Doe Branch Park is closed until the lake levels rise.

Due to construction the Eastern half of Westlake Park and all of Oakland Park are closed

In accordance with Texas Transportation Code, Golf Carts are not allowed to be operated on Public Roadways at Corps of Engineers Projects.

 

Camping:

  • The Our Lands and Waters Foundation has entered into a cooperative agreement with the US Army Corps of Engineers and will administering fee collection and reservations for Hickory Creek Park. Reservations can again be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Guidelines for Adjacent Landowners:

America the Beautiful Pass:

  • Golden Age and Golden Access Passports are no longer being sold and have been replaced with America the Beautiful Pass. The Corps does accept the new pass, but is not authorized to sell the pass. Find out more details here.
