Westlake and Oakland Parks
Westlake and Oakland Parks are day use only parks located in Hickory Creek, Texas off of Lewisville Lake and are jointly operated with the Our Lands and Water Foundation.
Amenities:
Picnic tables with grills
Four pavilions for rental at the park gatehouse or online at www.recreation.gov
4 Restrooms
Shoreline access for fishing
Swimming beach (currently under construction)
2 Boat ramps with loading docks
Long parking spaces for boat trailers
Gate attendant controlled access
Use Fees:
Day Use fees are $4 a vehicle or $1 per person walking or riding a bike into the park.
Pavilions:
Four open sided pavilions are available for rent in the park. Each pavilion is within walking distance of a bathroom and has a large grill, water and electric hook-up. Advanced reservations for the four pavilions can be made at www.recreation.gov or same day reservations can be made at the park gatehouse.
Cottonwood Pavilion: 100-150 people, $100/day
Bur Oak Pavilion: 100-150 people, $100/day
Green Ash Pavilion: 75-100 people, $75/day
Blackjack Oak Pavillion: 100-150 people, $100/day
Rules and Regs:
Westlake and Oakland are open 6 am to 10 pm year round. Entry into the parks is not permitted outside those times. A full copy of the Rules and Regulations can be found under Recreation Rules and Regulations tab.
Directions:
On I-35E going North or South take the Swisher Exit (exit 458). From the North cross over I-35 onto Lake Dallas Dr. Stay on Lake Dallas Dr. until the Main St. stopsign. Turn left and stay on Main St. until it enters into the parks.
From the South, take the Lake Dallas Dr road until Main St stop sign. Turn right and stay on Main St. until it enters into the park.
