Hickory Creek Park

Hickory Creek is a Class A campground located in Hickory Creek, Texas on Lewisville Lake. Map of Hickory Creek

Amenities:

    • Camping sites with water and electrical hookups, picnic tables, grills and fire rings ($16 or $18 per night)

    • 10 primitive camping sites with water and pit toilet within walking distance ($10 per night)

    • Boatramp (for campers only)

    • Playground

    • Restrooms with showers

    • Dump station

    • Shoreline access for fishing

    • Walking/Biking trail

    • Swimming beach

    • Amphitheater

    • Gate attendant on duty during open hours

    • Emergency exit gate open after 10 pm

    Use Fees:

    Primitive campsites are $10/night
    30 amp and water campsites are $16/night
    50 amp and water campsites are $18/night

    Golden Age, Golden Access and America the Beautiful Senior and Disability pass holders receive 50% off the regular fees.

    Meet your Park Hosts:

    In order to make your stay more enjoyable, Park Hosts are on site to answer your questions, remind you of park rules and hand out goodies for the kids!

    Reservations:

    Campsites are available for use by walk-in and through reservations made at www.recreation.gov . (opens in new website)

    Rules and Regs:

    The park is closed between 10 pm and 6 am. Entry into the park is not permitted during those times. Day users are not permitted in the campground. A full copy of the Rules and Regulations can be found under Recreation Rules and Regulations tab.

    Directions:

    The park is located off I-35 South (also known as Stemmons Freeway) .  After exiting the FM 2181/Swisher Rd exit (Exit 458) off the freeway, turn right onto Turbeville Road and then left on Point Vista Road.  The park will be on your right.  Hickory Creek is located close to restaurants, a movie theater, and grocery shopping.   • Westlake Park

    Westlake Park is located in Hickory Creek, Texas off of Lewisville Lake.  It can be easily accessed off of the Lake Dallas exit from I-35 towards Denton.  A park map is not available at this time.

    Amenities:

    • Picnic tables with grills

    • Three pavilions for rental at the park gatehouse

    • Restrooms

    • Shoreline access for fishing

    • Swimming beach

    • Boat ramp with adjacent dock

    • Long parking spaces for boat trailers

    • Gate attendant controlled access

    Use Fees:

    Day use is $1/person up to 4 people, $1 for each additional individual over 8 people

    Pavilions:

    Three open sided pavilions are available for rent in the park.  Each pavilion is within walking distance of a bathroom and has a large grill, water and electric hook-up.  Advanced reservations for the three pavilions can be made at www.recreation.gov orsame day reservations can be made at the park gatehouse.

    Cottonwood Pavilion: 100-150 people, $100/day

    Bur Oak Pavilion: 100-150 people, $100/day

    Green Ash Pavilion: 75-100 people, $75/day

    Rules and Regs:

    Westlake is open 6 am to 10 pm year round. Entry into the park is not permitted outside those times. A full copy of the Rules and Regulations can be found under Recreation Rules and Regulations tab.

    Directions:

    On I-35E going North or South take the Swisher Exit (exit 458). From the North cross over I-35 onto N. Denton Dr. Stay on Denton Dr. until the Main St. stopsign. Turn left and stay on Main St. until it enters into the park.
    From the South, take the N. Denton Dr road until Main St stop sign. Turn right and stay on Main St. until it enters into the park.
