Lake Georgetown is located about 3 miles west of Georgetown, Texas. The lake was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District to control flooding. The project functions as a water supply for the city of Round Rock and Georgetown. Lake Georgetown is a popular recreation destination for people from around the United States.
