The following facilities are closed due to flooding conditions/damages, seasonal closures, maintenance and construction activities, low lake levels, etc:

 

Lake Closure Information
Bardwell

Due to current flooding conditions at Bardwell Lake the following is the current status for Bardwell Lake as of 10/26/2009 Normal Lake Level:  421.00
Current Lake Level:  431.19
Above Normal: 10.19 ft.

Areas Closed

Love Park- Boat Ramp and Park Closed
High View Park-Closed to all incoming Reservations and Walkins. Boat Ramp is Closed.
Mott Park- Closed For Winter Season
Waxahachie Creek Park-Closed to all incoming Reservations and Walkins. Boat Ramp is Closed.

Little Mustang Creek Park- Closed

Belton

- The boat ramp at McGregor park (Flooded)
- Sandy Point at Temple's Lake park (Flooded)

All other facilities are open.

Benbrook * Bear Creek Campground: Closed for the winter. Will open April 1, 2010.
The following are closed due to high water:
* Mustang Park: Various sites still closed, but boatramps now open.
* North Holiday Day Use Area: Boatramp 2 and various low roads closed.
* Rocky Creek Park: Entire park closed.
* South Holiday Park: Sites 68-71 closed.
* Westcreek Circle: Entire park closed.
* Horse Trails: All trails closed.

Canyon

As of October 27, 2009 Cranes Mill Park will be closed for renovations. This includes the entire park, boat ramp (which has been closed all year due to low water) and the fishing pier.

Canyon Park, Canyon Beach, Comal Park, and Boat Ramp 18 located in Canyon Park are all closed for the winter season.

Georgetown All boat ramps are open as of today 10/23/2009. The Russell Park beach area and day use area are closed for the season (1 Oct - 31 Mar). All other areas are open.
Granger

Wilson H Fox Park - Beach is closed pending debris clean up.


Taylor Park
-courtesy dock (flooding)
-campground (normal seasonal closure)
-day use areas (normal seasonal closure)

Willis Creek - the whole park is closed for road construction

Friendship Park
-Swim Beach/Day Use Area (normal seasonal closure) -Group Shelter (normal seasonal closure)

Lavon Lake All facilities open
Lewisville Lake All facilities open
O.C. Fisher All ramps are unusable due to low lake levels, except for the one nearest the dam where small boats can be launched. All other facilities open.
Navarro Mills

All facilities are open.

Proctor

Copperas and Sowell Creek Recreation areas are open at the present. Copperas Creek Day Use Boat Ramp is closed due to low lake levels. Promontory Campground has a total of 58 sites open with limited facilities and services including Tent Sites 41-54 and Campsites 55-99.  All other facilities are closed.

 

Ray Roberts

Pecan Creek Boat Ramp: Closed due to high water.
Buck Creek Park: Closed due to high water.
Pond Creek Boat Ramp: Closed due to high water.
Johnson Branch Park Boat Ramp: Anticipated closure by COB today.

 

Sam Rayburn

1. Etoile Park Boat Ramps will be closed temporarily to treat the Giant Salvinia moving into the area.
2. Twin Dikes Park will open for CAMPERS Friday, Nov 20, 2009 at 9:00 AM. Twin Dikes Park Boat Ramps remain closed, perhaps until Nov 29 in order to complete repairs and stripe parking areas. The Twin Dikes Public Boat Ramps REMAIN OPEN.
The San Augustine Boat Ramp will remain OPEN during these operations.

Stillhouse Hollow


-Dana Peak Park remains closed due to reconstruction from the complete flood destruction in 2007 of all park facilities with the exception of the boat ramp, which is open for boat launching only.
- Some trail bridges are closed in Chalk Ridge Falls.

Somerville Nails Creek Park Boat Ramp and Birch Creek Forest Subdivision Boat Ramp are open. Rocky Creek Park Boat Ramp #1 is only open for all boat traffic.#2 Boat ramp Rocky Creek has been reopened. Birch Creek Park Boat Ramp is now open.
Town Bluff Dam/B.A. Steinhagen Lake All boat ramps are now open. Magnolia Ridge Park, Sandy Creek Park and Martin Dies, Jr. State Park are fully operational. Campers Cove camping area will remain closed until further notice.
Waco

Whitney "All courtesy docks are unusable, with the exception of East Lofers ramp #1. Boat ramps are closed and unusable at East Lofers ramp #2, Lofers Day Use, and Kimball Bend. Park. Morgan Lakeside Park (TPWD leased ramp) and Johnson County’s Hamm Creek boat ramp is also closed."
Wright Patman

Facility closures as of 10/30/2009:

* Elliott Bluff boat ramp
* Clear Springs Park access road, traffic is being detoured
* Clear Springs Park "A" section (26 campsites) and sites in "B" section (B,1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B8, B9, B10, B12, B18, B20 and B21)
* Rocky Point "C" section (12 campsites) and all of Section D including restrooms. A portion of the road into section A is closed, but A section is open. Access to certain sites in section A could be limited.
* Herron Creek boat ramp and all of section P
* Malden Lake boat ramp- campground
* WP-45 Hunting Access Road
* Clear Springs- #11 Screened-in shelter, B-6, B-7 and ATV Area
* Flatwoods Hunting Access Road
* WP-30 Hunting Access Road
* A portion of Overcup Hunting Access Road
* A portion of Glen Mill Hunting Access Road
* Thomas Lake primitive camping area and Hunting Access Road. White Rock road, has barricades.
* Mud lake has barricades,Berry Farm is unpassable.
* Piney Point- Lower entrance road to Ramp One and sites 32, 33, 34.
