The following facilities are closed due to flooding conditions/damages, seasonal closures, maintenance and construction activities, low lake levels, etc:

 

Lake Closure Information
Aquilla

Closures due to high water:
Aquilla Old School boat ramp
Aquilla Diary Hill boat ramp
Aquilla Hackberry boat ramp

Bardwell


The following closures are due to high water:  

Mott Park sites 1-6, 7-10,11-24, 34-40 closed. Day use area is closed.

Waxahachie Creek Park;
Horse trail and equestrian sites 86-89 closed.
Black Forest Sites 72 - 85 closed.
Sites 15,17,19,21,23, 25, 27, 29, 30, 36-38, 47-50, 53-58 closed.
All day use, closed, including boat ramp.

High View sites 14-47 and 40-49 closed. Boat ramp is closed. All day use is closed in High View.
High View Marina is closed to the public, access only for boat slip renters.

All boat ramps on Bardwell Lake are closed.

Belton

All courtesy docks are not usable.

Delineated beach areas are not usable.

Iron Bridge Park, McGregor Park, Winkler Park, Live boat ramps not usable.

Benbrook
  • North Holiday: All ramps and all lower loops are closed.
  • South Holiday: Boat ramp closed. All reservations have been cancelled. Most sites are closed.
  • Bear Creek Park: Most sites, and all boatramps are closed. All reservations have been cancelled.
  • Mustang Park: Closed.
  • Rocky Creek closed.
  • Westcreek Circle is closed.
  • Marinas: For the status of the Benbrook Marina in Dutch Branch Park, please contact the marina directly at 817-249-1173. The marina in Rocky Creek Park is no longer in business; the marina area is closed to vehicles at this time.
  • Longhorn Ramp : Closed. Overlook and pavilion are open.

 

Canyon

Recreation Facility Update due to high water:
Most USACE and non-USACE operated facilities are closed on Canyon Lake. Cranes Mill Marina and Canyon Lake Marina are both closed until further notice. Joint Base San Antonio has closed their day use area and their marina operations. Comal County closed ramps 2, 7, 11, and 23 at 1800 hours 5/24/2015.

Boat ramps currently closed: 3,4,9 (marina),10,13,16,17,18,19 (marina),20,21.

– All Parks are open April 1-September 30.  Canyon Park, Potters Creek Park, and Cranes Mill Park operate from 8 am to 10 pm for camping 7 days a week. North Park is closed Monday thru Thursday and open only on weekend from 9am to 10pm Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 2pm Sunday. 

– Each December, some parks will be used for seasonal wildlife management practices. Check with the lake office for the current dates and closure information of which park will be closed.

-Due to safety concerns, Cranes Mill Fishing pier will open and close throughout the year when the water level drops below 900 feet.  It opens once the level is safely above the 900 foot mark.

–Hancock Trail is subject to closure depending upon current weather conditions. When it has been raining and the parking area is muddy, the trail will be closed and gated.

Cooper

There are currently no closures at Cooper Lake.

Georgetown

Cedar Breaks Park:
-Sites 36-60 are closed annually from 11/1 – 3/1

-Fishing docks and courtesy boat docks are unusable due to low lake levels.

Jim Hogg Park:
-Sites 79-148, S080, S122, S132, D092, D102, D110, D140 are closed annually from 11/1 – 3/1

-Fishing docks and courtesy boat docks are unusable due to low lake levels.

Russell Park:
-Sites 9-13, 20-27 & GS4, GS5 closed annually from 11/1 – 3/1

-The day use area (picnic area, beach area) is closed annually form 11/1 - 3/1

-Courtesy boat docks and beach area are unusable due to low lake levels.

-During the open season, the group shelters are only available Friday thru Sunday and Summer Holidays.  Customers must call the office to rent during the week.

Tejas Park:

-Sites 1-6 Closed Annually from 11/1 – 3/1
Granger

Closed due to flooding:
Taylor Park: Courtesy Dock, Boat Ramp, Day Use Area, and Hiking Trail.
Willis Creek: Park.
Friendship Park Day Use Area, Swim Beach, and Boat Ramp.
Wilson H. Fox Park Courtesy Dock, Fishing Dock, Swim Beach, East/West Boat Ramp, and Day Use Area.

Friendship Park:
-Group Shelter Site # 1 is closed annually from 10/1 – 3/31 (We do allow scouts to use the facility in exchange for a service project. These reservations are done at the lake office only)

-During the open season, the group shelter is also only available Friday thru Sunday and Summer Holidays.  Customers must call the office to rent during the week.

-The day use area (picnic area, beach)is closed for the season and will reopen 4-1.  The day use area is only open Fridays through Sundays and Holidays.

Taylor Park:
-Sites 1-48 are closed annually from 10/1 – 3/31
-The picnic area is closed annually from 10/1 – 3/31
 
Wilson H. Fox Park:
-The day use area (picnic area, group shelter, beach and W. Boat ramp) is closed annually from 10/1 – 3/31

-During the open season, the group shelter is also only available Friday thru Sunday and Summer Holidays.  Customers must call the lake office to rent during the week.

Willis Creek Park:
-During the open season, the group shelter is also only available Friday thru Sunday and Summer Holidays.  Customers must call the lake office to rent during the week.


Grapevine

Murrell Park is closed. 

All ramps are closed.

Hords Creek

We currently do not have any designated swim beaches at this time due to low lake level.

The only boat ramp and fishing pier that are open right now are the ones located at Friendship Park Day Use.

Flatrock Park is currently closed and will remain closed for Summer 2015.

Joe Pool

Joe Pool Lake Dam temporarily closed for repairs.

Lynn Creek Park is closed .

Several sites in Loyd Park and Cedar Hill State Park are closed.

 

Lake O the Pines

Hickory Creek Park (campground) - Closed due to high water.

Construction is ongoing for western half of Oakland Park and everything West of the boat ramp is closed.

O.C. Fisher

San Angelo State Park has closed Bald Eagle Park at O.C. Fisher Lake due to high water coming in from North Concho River.
All ramps are unusable due to low lake levels. All other facilities open.

Navarro Mills

Liberty Hill Park- Boat Ramp #2, all courtesy docks and fishing piers, campsites 4-6, 35-38,45, 55-57, 59,60,62-66 and swim beach.

Oak Park Day Use- Park is closed due to flooding.

Oak Park- Swim Beach, playground, boat launch, fishing pier and courtesy dock, campsites 1-8, 17-19, 20-25, 28,29,35,36.

Wolf Creek Park- Boat launch, fishing pier, courtesy dock, group shelter and campsites 42-77.

Brushie Prairie- Park is closed due to flooding.

Pecan Point Park- Park is closed due to flooding.

HIGH POINT PARK: Park is closed. Day-use horse and hiking trail parking allowed at the main entrance.
