Camping Park Gates
ALL Park Gates Close at 10pm sharp. Campers must be check and registered prior to 10pm or you will not have access.
Campers with reservations in Potters Creek or Cranes Mill must be checked in by 10pm or wait until the following day when the gate opens again.
We do NOT have any access to the parks after 10 pm for the protection of the guests in the parks. There is no access code or key or late night check ins once the gate house closes.
Anyone attempting to force the gates open or enter the park illegally after 10pm can be sent away and fined.
NOTES TO THE PUBLIC:
In accordance with the Texas Transportation Code, Golf Carts are not allowed to be operated on Public Roadways at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Projects. This means please leave your carts at home and use your a bike, your feet or your car to travel on the park roads.
On weekends, holidays and when a park is at capacity, there are NO drive throughs allowed in any of the parks. You are welcome to visit any other day and drive through our camping parks.

Sunset at Potters Creek
Potter's Creek Park is is a beautiful Class A park located on the northwest side of Canyon Lake that Includes modern RV and Tent camping amenities. The facilities include one hundred fourteen (114) modern RV campsites, seven (7) Screened Shelters, ten (10) designated tent camping sites, and five (5) Family Sites.
Hours: 7am -10pm
Facility: CAMPING and RV ONLY.
Not A Day Use Facility. Usage of Park by Paid Camping Guests Only!

This is the standard schedule for the year, but at times if demand is high enough we may open a closed area to meet the need.
Conversly, if demand is low, we will close a section.

Aerial Of Canyon Park
Hours: 7am -10pm Daily
Facility: CAMPING ONLY. You can day use at the swim beach near the entrance to the park.
Not A Day Use Facility. Usage of Park by Paid Guests Only!
Season: 1 April - 30 September. It is closed for the winter. The park is open from 7am to 10pm daily. All entrances are locked at 10pm with no re-entry available until 7am the next morning. Checkout is at 2pm. Check in is 3pm.
Canyon Park is a primitive camp ground located on the North shore of Canyon Lake. The facilities include 150 campsites, two overnight shelters, one day use shelter, a boat ramp and courtesy dock, vault toilets, water fountains and over 8 miles of hiking and biking trails. This park is primitive and does NOT offer shower facilities.

Season: 1 April - 30 September
Canyon Beach Park is located on the North shore of Canyon Lake within Canyon Park. Canyon Beach is located to the left before entering Canyon Park. The facilities include picnic tables, closable grills, a beach, vault toilet and water fountain.
Note: NO PETS ALLOWED! If we find you with a pet you will be asked to take it home or leave the facility.
Tent Camping Site RV Site
Facilities: Camping, RV and Boat Launch (Ramp 10)
Season: Open All Year
Cranes Mill Park is a beautiful Class A facility with modern RV and Camping sites. It is located on the Southwest shore of Canyon Lake at the end of FM 2673, just past the town of Startzville. It contains 30 RV sites, 34 tent sites, 3 restrooms, a boat ramp, boat dock, 2 fishing piers and water & electricity at most sites.

May have up to three (3) vehicles during the night. Max 2 guest cars during day.
No RVs, pop-ups, boats or any form of pull behind trailer is allowed.
North Park as Viewed Top of Canyon Dam
Closed: Monday through Thrusday.
Open: Friday and Saturday 9am -10pm. Sunday 9am - 2pm.
Facilities: Camping Only
North Park is located on the North side of Canyon Lake Dam on North Park Road. There are 19 campsites (no RV hookups), vault toilets, no showers, no boat ramp. Each campsite includes a picnic table and a fire ring. This is a popular scuba diving area.

Comal Park is located on the South shore of Canyon Lake near Startzville. Comal Park has two boat ramps, 65 picnic sites, a large swim beach, children's playground, a restroom at the beach and two boatramps.
Note: On arrival, visitors should check-in at the park entrance station; ask the attendant for the official time of park closure for that day. Pets are allowed in park on a leash, but NO pet is allowed in the swim beach area. This includes the shore and water.

Useage of Guadalupe Park is free of charge.
Guadalupe Park is located below Canyon Dam along the first mile of the Guadalupe River. It features an ADA-accessible parking lot and trailway with fishing pier on the north side. A foot trail is available along the river on the south side of the park. The river can be accessed from the trails for fishing. Please have a state fishing license.
The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) manages a hydropower plant along the north side of the river near the fishing pier. This stretch of the Guadalupe river is very popular as the State's premier trout fishing stream. The Guadalupe River is the Southernmost sustainable trout fishery in the nation. No restroom, camping or picnic facilities are available in the park. Sometimes a portable toilet is provided. The nearest restroom facility is located at nearby Overlook Park near the southern end of Canyon Dam. Overlook Park closes at sunset daily.
DAY USE ONLY
Season: Open All Year
Overlook Park is on a hilltop at the south end of Canyon Dam and is the location of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters at Canyon Lake. The park offers a scenic view to Canyon Lake and Dam. There is access to the Verada Real walking trail across Canyon Dam. A restroom at the top of the hill and visitor parking is available. There are no camping or picnic facilities but you are welcome to hike and picnic.
The office for visitor information is open Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm, excluding Federal Holidays.
The use of this park is free of charge.
