Volunteer Program

The Corps of Engineers at Belton Lake offers many volunteer opportunities in recreation and natural resource management. We are the stewards of over 15,000 acres of land and water held in the public trust...held for YOU. You can make a difference by helping to ensure the wise use of these precious resources today and for their conservation for tomorrow.

Over the years the Corps of Engineers at Belton Lake have been fortunate to have some useful and needed projects completed by volunteers. Contributions made by the participants in the Volunteer Program have improved wildlife habitat, promoted conservation ethics on the part of young people, enriched the experiences of the many thousands of visitors who come annually to the reservoir's shores, parks and trails and provided a worthwhile and rewarding experience for themselves.

Get started by sending a Volunteer Application to our Office or by applying online at the Volunteer Clearinghouse.

We need your help! As a volunteer you can -:

  • Work outdoors
  • Meet new people
  • Learn alongside knowledgeable professionals
  • achieve a proud sense of contributing to the future of the nation
  • Plus, it's just plain fun!

All of our volunteers assist us in building and maintaining our recreational facilities as well as developing natural areas where animals and plants can thrive.
